




Altrufoods is a restaurant that uses food rescue and recovery to counteract metropolitan food waste. Edible food gets discarded at any stage along the food chain, including farms, fishing vessels, processing and distribution, and in and out of restaurants. The company's fundamental belief is that everyone should have access to farm-to-table dining. Altrufoods closes its doors to the public twice a week to turn its lax dining space into a communal kitchen assisting neighbors in need.
